Our Needs

Ensure our schools provide a safe, healthy and positive learning
and student experience

At Pequot Lakes Public Schools, we are committed to ensuring that our schools are safe, secure and equipped to provide our students with an outstanding education. We have worked hard to maintain our school facilities, but after 20 years, our buildings require updates.

Aging Infrastructure: Our mechanical, electrical, boilers, and HVAC systems are outdated and in need of repair.

Safety concerns: Our parking and transportation areas at all school facilities create safety hazards for parents, staff and students.

Lack of Classroom and Common Space: Our student population continues to grow, and we have maxed out our building spaces such as classrooms, dining areas and the auditorium.

Lack of Space for Early Childhood Programming: Our early childhood education program needs more space to meet growing demand and provide more programming and services for families.

Insufficient spaces for CTE, Science, Art and FACS: Our learning spaces require continual investments to provide high-quality education that meets the needs of our students and prepares them for their futures.

Aging Outdoor Spaces: Our outdoor areas, such as playgrounds, track and field spaces, and baseball and softball fields, need repairs to ensure student safety and renovations that will benefit students and our community for years to come.
