The Process

Together, district leaders, staff, students, parents and residents helped reimagine our schools.

As part of this process, the district formed a community-based Facility Planning Team composed of 60 students, staff, parents, community leaders and school administrators. The Facility Planning Team engaged in a comprehensive analysis process, which included:

  • Reviewing facility assessment, educational adequacy and building capacity.

  • Studying enrollment trends. 

  • Evaluating feedback from interviews with district leaders, staff and students. 

  • Evaluating input provided at community informational meetings.

Over the course of five meetings, the Facility Planning Team shared data, explored options and evaluated feedback to make an informed recommendation to the Pequot Lakes School Board.
